Remember Grace

“I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless.”
Galatians 2:21 (NLT)

It is easy to take life for granted. How often do we wake up in the morning and go through our day complaining, moaning and bitter over life, forgetting all the good things that we have. How about people? How many times do we treat those that love us as if they were nothing special? We start to take advantage of their faithfulness and love to us. How more often do we do this with God? We do exactly what Paul said that we should not do. We treat the grace and love of God as if they were meaningless. We live as if God didn’t exist. Paul knew too well that with our humanness, our bent toward rebellion, that sooner or later we would forget. And so he made a conscious effort not to treat the grace of God with disrespect. He fought spiritual pride and his bent toward entitlement. He did this by being purposeful in the way he lived. We can do the same. The best way to be faithful to your wife is to be purposeful in loving her. Likewise, we will stay from treating the God’s grace disrespectfully by being purposeful in our relationship with Him. Today remember. Remember all that God has done for you. Remember His grace, His faithfulness, His forgiveness and His unconditional love toward you. Worship Him, praise Him, surrender your will to His control. Dedicate this day and all your days to His service. Humble yourself before Him and remember who you are without Him. May we join Paul and never treat the grace of God as meaningless.

Father, how You have lavished Your grace on me. How You have forgiven all my sin. How You have rescued me over and over again. Forgive me for forgetting. Forgive me for my disrespect and taking You for granted. Today I come and worship You and praise You for Your grace toward me. In Jesus’ name.

I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless
Today get a vision of all God has done for you. See His grace being lavished upon you. Envision the great love He has for you. Sense deep in your heart how much He cares. Weigh your own thoughts and see if you have taken Him for granted. If so, seek His forgiveness and visualize yourself in His presence praising Him and worshipping Him. All is forgiven, and you are fully conscious of His unfailing faithfulness toward you. Humbly affirm, “I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless.”

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
