Harmony

TODAY’S VERSE

“So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.”
Romans 14:19 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
You would think that the church would be the first place we would look for a group that is building each other up, but it’s not always the case. We can hurt each other just like any other group. It takes hard work to live in harmony. We come from so many diverse backgrounds with so many different temperaments, beliefs, emotions, assumptions, experiences and wounds that without concerted effort, it is impossible to co-exist without hurting each other. That is why Paul said to “aim” for harmony and to “try” to build each other up. True, it is not easy to live in one accord but we must try. We must do all that we can to love each other as Christ would love us. As we submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit, He produces in us the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. This is what we need. With the fruit of the Spirit we can build each other up in ways that will result in harmony. So today ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, mold you and use you and let us aim for harmony and begin to build each other up.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Holy Spirit, I invite You to produce Your fruit in my life. I want to live in harmony with others and help build them up. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
