I Am Coming

TODAY’S VERSE

“My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘LORD, I am coming.”’
Psalms 27:8 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship. It is a relationship with a loving God that desires to fellowship with us. This was His design since the beginning. David knew this. The Bible says of David that he was a man, “after God’s own heart.” But when you consider today’s passage perhaps it would be better to say that God was a “God after David’s own heart.” David’s heart heard God saying, “Come and talk with me.” Do you hear the same? Do you sense that God is seeking you, that He desires to know you and for you to know Him? It’s true. God really does desire your love and affection. He desires for you to worship Him, spend time with Him and to love Him. He is seeking you out. Today, say with David, “Lord I am coming.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I desire to know You and to be known by You. Help me today to hear Your voice say to me, “Come and talk with me.” Help me to sense Your presence and spend time with You. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN
