Choose The Light

TODAY’S VERSE

“So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life-giving light.”
Psalms 56:13 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
How often do we think of light as being life-giving? To the plant it is photosynthesis. Light allows the plant to live. Without the light it would soon die. Likewise, without light, we would be in peril. Without light how would we avoid pending danger? But light is only the metaphor. It is walking in the presence of God that the Psalmist is really talking about. It is being conscious of God and letting Him lead us in everything we do that guides, sustains and protects us. Today we have a choice. We can choose where we want to walk. Will we walk in the darkness or will we choose the light?

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me today to live in awareness of Your presence. Help me to walk in your life-giving light.
AMEN
