Love And Good Works

TODAY’S VERSE

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.”
Hebrews 10:24 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
When you became a Christian, you became a follower of Christ. You became part of a world-wide fellowship of believers. This is more than a fraternity, it is a fellowship. But more than a fellowship, it is a mission. Our mission is to love others and to become involved in doing good. Love and doing good? It sounds too simple and too humanistic. Instead, we want to preach and teach and tell others about the love of God. While teaching and preaching is crucial, we miss the point. God has chosen some to teach, some to preach, but He has chosen us all to love. Why? Because our preaching and teaching will never be accepted by the world if it isn’t backed up with real living proof? And the proof that Christianity is real is in our actions, not our words. So if we want to see others around us come to know Christ, we must think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me live for you. Help me also think of ways to motivate others around me to join me in performing acts of love and good works.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
