Fear Not

TODAY’S VERSE

“In my distress I prayed to the LORD, and the LORD answered me and set me free. The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
Psalms 118:5-6 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
How many fears do we suffer with today? Having suffered with a variety of phobias, I have had to deal with fear all my life. Today’s passage illustrates a great realization that have made a vast difference in my life. It is this, the fact that the Lord is here. The Psalmist wrote, “In my distress I prayed to the LORD, and the LORD answered me and set me free. The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear.” The presence of our living, all knowing, all powerful God can bring peace to the most severe situations. He is the God of the now. He is here and He cares. Peter wrote, “Casting all your cares on Him, for He cares for you!” God’s presence brings everything into prospective. His presence switches our thinking from monstrous evildoers to “mere men.” We can say with the Psalmist, “What can mere people do to me?” Today, reframe your fears. Put it in perspective. Look at your fears in the light of His presence and power.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, free me from my fears. Help me today to realize that You are here. I cast all my worries on You because You care for me!
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
