Wait On The Lord

TODAY’S VERSE

“Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
Psalms 27:14 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It is hard to delay gratification. We want what we want, when we want it. It is hard to hold back our thirst for justice. It was so unfair! It is so hard to wait for resolution. When will it all end? We think because it is a Godly desire it should be. We have yearned so long, how much longer? So what do we do when it seems that God is silent and we can’t hold on much longer? David knew. He wrote, “Be strong and take heart.” David is calling on us to be strong and brave and use all the patience and strength we have in order to persevere. And then he calls upon us to “take heart.” When everything in us is screaming for action, crying for resolution and we have the accelerator pushed all the way to the floor, we need to stop, take a deep breath and calm ourself. We need to refocus on what is true and reconnect with God. It is in that moment, we allow God to help us regulate our emotion back to peace and joy. Today we have choices. We can wait, we can be strong and we can take heart. Today, wait for the Lord; He is there.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You that You know my situation. You know my needs. Help me gain strength from this and to take heart. Teach me to wait on You and trust You to provide for me in ways that only You can. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
