TODAY’S VERSE
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
Psalms 73:26 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Life can be so hard some time. But no harder than expectations that have been crushed and forsaken. How often has something happened that was totally unexpected? It was not in our radar or even what we thought was within the realm of possibilities. We are faced with our dissonance and out of it comes a deep disillusionment. What do we do? In today’s verse we find hope. The Psalmist writes that even when our spirit grows weak that God will be our strength. His strength makes it possible to accept our disillusionment, wait on God and surrender to Him. When we do, God renews our heart. God helps us adapt and overcome. He is the strength that will get us through. Today, when you become discouraged. When you feel that your spirit is growing weak, turn to God. Give it to Him. He will be the strength of your heart. Remember, He is yours forever.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your promise to me that You will never leave me or forsake me. Thank You that as I bring all my worries, concerns and cares to You, You will be my strength. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN
