Grace And Knowledge

You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
II Peter 3:18 (NLT)

We like to take a position. We choose sides. The danger in this is that our world view can become lopsided. Not everything is black or white, truth or lie, good or evil. Often we are better off embracing a broader view in order to get a more complete picture. For example there is strength and beauty, science and art, traditional and avant-garde. Peter, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, added grace and knowledge. We need knowledge. To know about Christ, His teaching, and the scriptures gives us the foundation upon which we build our spiritual life. But in our living of this spiritual life we need grace. God’s compassion, mercy, forgiveness and grace help give us the chance to mature and become more like Him. Today, heed what Peter wrote, “You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Dear Father, today I commit myself to grow in the grace and knowledge of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
