Faith or Unbelief?

TODAY’S VERSE

And He was amazed at their unbelief.
Mark 6:6 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It is recorded in the gospels that twice Jesus was amazed. One was when a Roman Officer had a sick servant and sent for some Jewish leaders to heal the servant. They went to get Jesus. Before Jesus could get to the Officer’s home he sent a messenger saying to Jesus, “Lord, don’t trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.” Jesus marveled at his faith. The other time was when Jesus went back to his own home town and no one would believe He was the Son of God. Instead they mocked and would not come for healing. Here Mark writes that Jesus was amazed at their unbelief. The two examples begs the question, “What about us? Will Jesus be amazed at our faith or our unbelief?

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Lord, I know I live much of my life in unbelief. Forgive me for my lack of faith. Today, I recommit myself and cry out, “I believe, help my unbelief!”
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
