TODAY’S THOUGHT
Believe it or not God desires to have a relationship with us. Why else would He go to such length to love us? If all He wanted was sinless perfection we would have been dead a long time ago. None of us could comply with that requirement. That doesn’t mean that God is any less Holy. It means that His plan was to have Christ take the penalty for sins so we could be forgiven and have the privilege of having a relationship with Him. Listen to what David wrote, “He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.” Today, bask in the mercy, compassion and forgiveness of God and enjoy a joyful relationship with Him.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank You for desiring a relationship with me. Thank You for Your mercy, compassion and forgiveness that makes that possible. Help me to really know You, love you and worship You.
