Free Fall

I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.
Psalms 94:18-19 (NLT)

Ever feel like you were slipping? My son and I were free climbing a small cliff and he lost his grip. I was on a ledge just below and caught him. We both breathed a sigh of relief and up he went again to the top. I was there to support him. He was my son and I wasn’t going to let anything happen to him. The psalmist knew about slipping. That emotional freefall when assailed by doubts and the loss of hope. But he also knew about God’s love. When life seemed out of control, he cried out to God whose unfailing love supported him. When doubts assailed him, causing him to lose his emotional balance, God’s comfort renewed his hope and brought him happiness. Today, don’t let slipping scare you. Bring all your doubts and fears to God and let him comfort you and renew your hope.

Dear Father, thank You for being there when I am slipping. I trust in your unfailing love and ask you to renew my hope and happiness. In Jesus’ name.

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
