TODAY’S VERSE
I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.
Philippians 1:9 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Have you ever struggled, wondering what the will of God is for your life? It is easy to spend all our time wondering about the various choices we make in life. What job should I take, where should I live, and who should I marry? And then, when these answers are decided, we settle in to live our life. Now, major life choices are crucial and we need to pray and ask God for discernment in these areas but Paul sees a greater will for our life. He prays that our love will overflow in our life. Love for God, ourself and others. There is no greater purpose. There is no greater will for our life. Paul adds to his prayer that we will keep growing in knowledge and understanding. We need to seek God for wisdom and discernment. We need to be wise in the major choices in our life, but first and foremost, let us remember God’s will for our life is to love.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, you know my worry about the many choices in life. Help me grow in knowledge and understanding that I may know Your will. But most of all, help me love the way You love.
AMEN
