Know God

TODAY’S VERSE
But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.
Psalms 86:15 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Who is God to you? If I asked you to write down five attributes of God what would you write? Many would choose omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (present everywhere), omnipotent (all powerful), immutable (unchanging), and Holy. It sounds like a list from a Theology Exam. That’s because we pride ourself in knowing about God. But David was a man after God’s own heart. He knew God. So when David made his list he wrote, God is compassionate, full of mercy, slow to get angry, filled with unfailing love and faithful. It is important to know about God but imperative to know Him. Today, meditate on God’s compassion, mercy, patience, love and faithfulness. Know Him like David did.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I know that you are Holy, all powerful, all knowing, unchanging and everywhere. But Lord, I also long to know You, to know your love, mercy, patience, compassion and faithfulness. I want to know You in a deeper more profound way. Here is my heart, Lord; fill me.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
