TODAY’S VERSE
Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the LORD for guidance.
II Chronicles 20:3 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
What do you do when you are terrified? It is easy to panic, fret and withdraw. King Jehoshaphat was told that three different armies joined together to take siege of Jerusalem. The Bible says he was terrified. But instead of running, he decided to seek the Lord. He prayed, “O LORD, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you! – Whenever we are faced with any calamity such as war, plague, or famine, we can come to stand in your presence before this Temple where your name is honored. We can cry out to you to save us, and you will hear us and rescue us.” This reminds me of another verse, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding, in all your way submit to Him and He will direct your path.” Today, no matter what your circumstance, seek the Lord’s guidance.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, You are aware of all my circumstances. There is nothing that surprises You or can separate me from Your love. Therefore I come to You with all worries and seek Your wisdom and direction. In Jesus name.
AMEN
