Masterpiece

TODAY’S VERSE

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Have you ever felt like a masterpiece? There have been many times when I have felt just the opposite. There are certain times, certain people or certain circumstances that seem to just flip a switch in me and next thing I know I am down the road of self-doubt. I feel opposite of all those good things that God wants for me. Significant? No. Of value? No. Purposeful? No. And certainly not a masterpiece. But I have learned over time to realize that what I may believe or not believe in those moments of self-doubt do not come from God. They are not from a Christian world view but rather my own erroneous beliefs of how I should be or others have thought about me. I have given back to God those parts of me that I feel do not measure up and if I cannot change them, I thank Him for them. They are all part of His plan. Today I choose to stand on God’s word and believe what Paul said. I am God’s masterpiece that He created so I can do the good things he planned for me. I invite you to do the same.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You that You created me as a masterpiece for Your purposes. Help me believe that You love me and see me as significant, full of value and deeply loved. Fill me with a deep self-love that gives You all the glory and lives to fulfill the work you have planned out for me. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN
