He Knows

You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh.
Psalms 38:9 (NLT)

Things don’t always turn out the way we hope. In today’s passage David was journaling about the struggles he was having. He was lamenting over all his emotional strife, yet in the middle of the passage he reassures himself with the thought that the Lord knew his longings and heard even his faintest sigh. He no doubt remembered that the Prophet Isaiah wrote, “my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the LORD.’” I am confident he contrasted this with Isaiah’s promise, “Listen! The LORD’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.” Today you can do the same thing. Know even if things are not the way you think they should be, even if there is strife all around you, the Lord knows what you are longing for. He hears your sighs and He is never too weak to save you!

Dear Father, forgive me for my doubts. I know You hear my sigh. I know that You love me. Today, I put all my trust into Your loving hands. You are my Lord and Savior and I commit myself to you.

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
