TODAY’S VERSE
“Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.”
Romans 4:20 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
How does that happen? How does one’s faith grow stronger? Abraham knew God and he was constantly being challenged by his life’s circumstances yet his faith grew stronger. Paul shares, “Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise.” God called Abraham and promised that through him He was going to start a new nation. When he considered his own age and the age and barrenness of Sarah, his wife, he remembered, “God promised.” Time passed living in tents and yet he remembered, “God promised.” When he faced the challenge of ending his son’s life on the alter, he leaned on the fact that “God promised.” Consequently each time Abraham remembered God’s promise, his faith grew. God’s promises are true. He has promises for you, but they do you no good if you don’t know them. Today, get to know God’s word and all the promises He has for you and start to believe for yourself.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me know and believe Your promises. Help my faith grow stronger, even today. In Jesus’ name.
