“But each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.”
Psalms 42:8 (NLT)
What are you passionate about? What consumes you? What forces do you allow to shape your everyday experience? You have a choice you know. You can decide what you are going to allow to guide you. The Psalmist chose to look at life through the lens of God’s almighty love. His love is there everyday waiting for your discovery. Jeremiah said that God’s mercies are new every morning. Here the author says that every day God pours His unfailing love upon him. He couldn’t help but sing songs of praise and share life with Almighty God who gave him life. Paul shares how the “love of Christ” controlled him. Likewise, God’s love for you is unlimited. It is unfailing. His grace is sufficient for all you need in this life. Don’t go another day without being fully conscious of it. That would be like living in paradise and never going outside. Don’t let that happen with God’s love. Step out into His love today. Soak in it. Spend time with God and let His love control your life.
Dear Father, I thank You for Your love. I thank You that Your love for me is unfailing. I ask that Your Holy Spirit would guide and direct my life and that the love of Christ would consume and control me. In Jesus’ name.
