Refuge

Refuge

TODAY’S VERSE
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.
Psalms 5:11 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Relief, rest, respite; sometimes our soul just cries out for a refuge. Someone to go to who cares, understands and can help us in our time of need. The Psalmist found this in the Lord. And it is interesting to see the correlation with this refuge and joy. You see if it was just a place of refuge we might get momentary peace, but not joy. No, joy comes from relationships and God Himself longs to fellowship with us and be our refuge. That is why the author writes, “Let ALL who take refuge in You rejoice and sing joyful praises forever!” God almighty, who has an unquenchable love for you, is your refuge and you can come to Him with all your cares and needs. Today pray with the psalmist, “Lord, spread your protection over me and fill me with Your joy!”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I come to You to be my refuge. Help me find rest, peace and joy in You today. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
