True Law

TODAY’S VERSE

You ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith.
Matthew 23:23 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Sometimes it not what we do that matters, it is what we don’t do. The Pharisees knew how to keep the law. It was very important to them. So much so that they developed a system of 613 laws, 365 negative commands and 248 positive laws. The result was a heartless, cold, and arrogant type of righteousness. Jesus stood against this and chastised them for missing the whole point of what God was trying to do on earth. Christ, he only had two laws. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor as yourself. God plan was for us to live together with love for each other that is lived out with justice and mercy. He wants an intimate connection with the people He created lived out in a deep relational faith. Today, pray about your role in God’s agenda. Live your life with justice, mercy and faith.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father forgive me when I put other things ahead of what really matters to You. Help me live a life that is concerned and active in justice, mercy and faith. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
