But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!
Ephesians 2:4-5 (NLT)
Have you ever felt dead because of your sins? Our willful disobedience to what God desires leaves us guilty before Him. Guilty, sinful, far from God is the result of our free will choosing what our sinful desires want. But this doesn’t surprise God. No more than when my children surprised me when they would act out when it came time to go to bed. No, the good news is God is rich in grace and mercy. His grace and mercy is much greater than our sins. Paul shares that God loved us so much that He gave us a new life through the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is by God’s grace that you and I have become Christians and live in this newness of life. Have you turned your life over to Him? Have you accepted His gift of eternal life? If not, do it today. Today, ask Him to forgive you of all your wrongdoing and make you a Christian. He has a new life for you.
Dear Father, I realize how far I have strayed from You. I am aware of my wrongdoing. I know Jesus died for me. Please forgive me of all my sins. I accept Christ’s gift of eternal life. I believe Christ rose again from the dead and I want to become a Christian right now. Thank You Lord Jesus for coming into my life and making me a new person right now.
