Return To Joy

TODAY’S VERSE

I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire.
Psalms 40:1-2 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Joy comes from relationships. We see this in a baby’s response when their caregivers are happy to be with them. Likewise, David drew to his Heavenly Father for his comfort and joy. As the youngest of eight brothers, shepherding out on the hills by himself, he found solace and significance in a deep mature relationship with God. It is no surprise then when David was in the pit of despair, sinking in the mud and mire of life; He turned to his relationship with God. He waited patiently for the Lord to help him. God heard his prayer and returned him to joy. Today, turn to God. He knows your situation. He hears the groaning of your heart. Spend time with Him and His word. Let your relationship with God your Father return you to joy.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, hear my plea for help. Deepen my relationship with You so I can let your companionship return me to joy. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
