So encourage each other and build each other up.
I Thessalonians 5:11 (NLT)
Who are you encouraging? Do you see this as part of your Christian responsibility? You should. The New Testament is full of scriptures that tell us to love one another, bear each other’s burdens, comfort others in the way we have been comforted and to look out for the interests of others. We need each other. Jesus taught us both by His teachings and by His example to live a sacrificial life putting other people’s needs ahead of our own. The Bible teaches that each of us has Spiritual gifts and we are to use those gifts to minister to others. Today, ask God to help you find those that you can encourage. Let’s build each other up.
Dear Father, thank You for comforting and encouraging me. Help me in turn to go and encourage others in the same way. Help me love and encourage others as Christ did.
