Love

TODAY’S VERSE

The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.
I Timothy 1:5 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Love can get very confusing. Our emotions can get out of skew and we can find ourself wandering down a road that we were never intended for. This is why Paul said that the purpose of his instruction was to help us be filled with a love that comes from a pure heart, not one with envy, deceit, fear, lust, bitterness or selfish ambition. Paul wanted us to strive to have love that comes from a clear conscience not one that is full of remorse, guilt, shame or regret. Finally Paul encourages our love to be guided from a genuine faith not a false notion, selfish ambition or religious ritual. The good news is that Paul’s instruction is found in the Bible. It is there for us to learn from. May God help us study the word so our love will come from a pure heart, clear conscience and genuine faith.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, help me as I study Your word to understand it and live by it. Help me have a love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
