TODAY’S VERSE
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.
Psalms 59:16 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
What makes you sing? What brings your heart joy? I have sung for many things. I have sung for my wife of 44 years. I have sung for my three boys. I have sung over their families and all my grandchildren. I have sung because of God and all the goodness He has brought into my life. What do you sing about? David sang about his deep relationship with God. Every morning he would sing with great joy about God’s power and His unfailing love toward him. God was his refuge, his place of safety even when his life was full of distress. Today before you get busy, before the hurriedness of life takes you captive, sing. Sing His praise. Sing with thanksgiving in your heart for all He has done. Sing in faith, knowing that He loves you and has this day covered. Sing that it is well with your soul. Today sing and let His praise fill your heart.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I come today and sing Your praises. Thank You for all You have done. Thank You for Your unfailing love toward me. Thank you for being my place of safety and refuge. Thank You for Jesus and saving me. In His precious name I pray.
AMEN
