You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)

Our life can get so crazy. All we want is peace, but so often what we strive for is escape. Escape is not peace. Whether it is escape through workaholism, hyper activity or adrenaline filled activity, it does not bring us lasting peace. Being numb is not peace. Numbing our mind through drinking, doing drugs, watching endless television, playing video games or fantasy does not result in the peace our hearts desire. Rather Paul tells us that trust does. Trusting in something reliable that is larger than our situation allows us to calm down and regain our composure. The check that comes in the mail that covers our bills. The Doctor’s report that says everything is okay. But for that deep peace that passes all our understanding it comes from trusting in God. It is a trust that comes from knowing Him, from keeping our mind fixed on Him. Today, begin to know God. Look for Him in the scriptures. Talk to Him; seek Him with all your heart. As you do, you will find your heart full of the peace that passes all our understanding.

Dear Father, I want to know You more. I want to fix my thoughts on You so I can enjoy the peace that comes from trusting in You. Help me I pray.

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
