High Priest

TODAY’S VERSE
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
Hebrews 7:25

TODAY’S THOUGHT
We sin but Jesus saves. The Old Testament was set up on a sacrificial system whereby a Priest would offer a sacrifice on behalf of the people. Why? Because humankind is separated from God by our own willful disobedience to what God declares is moral and just. Our disobedience is the same today but God’s redeeming sacrificial system is different. Today we have Jesus. He was the ultimate High Priest. The one who, instead of offering a sheep or calf to God, offered Himself. The author of Hebrews writes, “He (Jesus) is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has been set apart from sinners and has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.” The result is today’s verse, “He is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.” Now, you can rejoice in the fact that all your sins are forgiven. You can praise God for Jesus who is constantly interceding on your behalf presenting you to God the Father as His loving forgiven child. And that you are! Today, give thanks to Jesus your perfect High Priest.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Jesus, thank You for being my High Priest interceding on my behalf. Thank You for Your spotless life and Your loving, perfect sacrifice on the Cross for me. Truly You are the kind of High Priest I need. Halleluiah, what a Savior!
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
