Do It

TODAY’S VERSE
Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
James 4:17 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It’s not always what we do that gets us in trouble. Sometimes it’s what we do not do that is sin. For example, Paul instructs us not to lie but speak the truth. You may not lie but did you say what needed to be said? James tells us to be “doers of the word and not only hearers.” It’s failing to do or live out the “word” that counts against us. Often it is easier to follow rules than to follow Jesus. The rules tell us what not to do, Jesus tells us what to do. Loving others, hating evil, doing good, helping the poor and broken, sharing the gospel, living righteously – this is what we have been called to do. We know it; do we do it? Today, ask God to help you to do what you know you should do.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your word. Help me to do it, not just read it.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
