I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope.
Lamentations 3:20-21 (NLT)

Life takes us on many twists and turns. There are times in our life that are hard to forget. They leave deep scars in our soul. Jeremiah starts this passage with the memory of an awful time. He was grieving over his loss but everything changed when he dared to hope. What do we dare to do? We could keep on grieving. We could stay in a state of hopeless depression. We could let bitterness and cynicism take over our life. Jeremiah dared to hope. He dared to hope because he remembered that God is in the picture. And it was what he knew about God that changed everything. He writes, “The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” You see you have a choice. You can choose what you want to remember. Do you want to remember the awful time or the faithful love and mercies of God? Today choose God. His mercies are fresh this morning.

Father, You know my grief. You know my heartache. Today bring my grief to You. Take it Lord. I choose to hope in You again. Show me Your faithful love. Fill my heart with Your tender mercies. In Jesus’ name.

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
