Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Peter is admonishing us to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The word translated “grace” in the New Testament means “favor, blessing, or kindness.” Peter is suggesting that we are to grow and mature in this. Interestingly, the word “in” that Peter uses is a special word. It means to enter a new sphere of reality. We come to God and now we live in a sphere, a new atmosphere of God’s favor, blessing and kindness! Today, open your eyes to this new reality. You are living in the sphere of God’s Grace and His unconditional love. Go and grow and mature in it.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, help me to understand what it means to live in this sphere of grace you have invited me into. Help me grow in your grace and knowledge.
