TODAY’S VERSE
The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness.
Romans 8:26 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
What an incredible thought. That God Himself has given us His Spirit to dwell inside us. Paul writes, “You received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’ For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.” So as God’s children He gives us the indwelling Holy Spirit to teach us, guide us, convict us, correct us, comfort us, fill us and to help is in our weakness. All this with the purpose of helping us live for God. God knew how hard it would be, how weak we would be. Again Paul wrote, “We don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.” Yes, God knows we have weaknesses but He gave us His Holy Spirit to make up the difference. What a marvelous gift. Today, yield to the leading, guidance and authority of the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to help you in your weaknesses.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Holy Spirit, I yield myself to You. Come fill me, guide me, direct me. Help me with my weaknesses so I can live for you.
AMEN
