Refuge

TODAY’S VERSE
This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him.
Psalms 91:2

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Fear is real. It is a major topic in the Bible. “Fear not” is one of the most frequent commands in the Bible. The people living in the Old Testament times knew what fears were. Wars, sickness, famines, poverty, violence, slavery all led to the fact of their short life expectancy. Our worries seem to pale in comparison to the problems the Psalmist writes about. The author writes, “Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.” What confidence. What faith. What a God we serve! Today say with the Psalmist, “This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, Almighty God, my Savior and Lord. Thank You for being my refuge, my place of safety. Today I put my trust in You.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
