I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.
Romans 8:38 (NLT)
Life can be a battle. There are all sorts of trials and tribulations that we face. But the good news is the Lord has the final word. Paul writes, “Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” What victory is He talking about? How can we be victorious in calamity, persecution, hunger, destitution, danger or death? We are victorious because it isn’t finished yet! His love has the final word. He is the redeemer. He controls everything. He has prepared our ultimate home and victory so we can say with Paul, “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”
Dear Father, I pray that no matter what, I may always be conscious of Your great love for me. This is my victory, “nothing can separate me from Your love!”
