He Is Our King

TODAY’S VERSE

“But though I have rescued you from your misery and distress, you have rejected your God today and have said, ‘No, we want a king instead!”
I Samuel 10:19 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
How much do we really rely on God? How much do we really commune with Him and depend on Him for wisdom and direction? Think about it. We have pastors, radio preachers, counselors and bookstores full of books and magazines. That’s not counting conferences, colleges, Bible studies or Sunday School classes. With all this help, with all this representation of God, why would we ever need God at all? The people of God wanted a King. They wanted a physical representation of God, instead of God Himself. Now there is nothing wrong with having Pastors to teach and equip us, participating in small groups or enjoying Bible Study. The point is this. In all our searching, in all our seeking for answers, for all the comfort we are looking for, let us not forget God Himself.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I am so sorry for putting other things above You. You are all my heart really needs. I come to You, my Lord and King, and ask that You would guide and direct me throughout this day.
AMEN

About Ronald

I am a Christian who deeply believes in God and the purposes He has put us on earth for. I started in ministry when I was 20 years old. I have been involved in both evangelism and compassion ministires. I deeply believe in our mission to help those in need. I believe however, that the church has missed our calling. We have not been effective in loving others as we would love ourselves. We have not been using our Spiritual Gifts to make a difference in this world. We have not mobilized to be the salt and light in the world. The goal of this web site is to help those interested to use their Spiritual Gifts in order to fulfill the mission Christ has given us to love the world.
